Like a lightweight boxer with the heavyweight belt, the Carbon Fibre frames feature one of the greatest strength to weight ratios for any material. Featured in Ray-Ban’s slimmest wrap temples, the water-cut carbon sheet consists of 7 different layers, 5 of which are carbon fibres mixed with resin. While light and strong, the frames get even greedier by also being fl exible and highly resistant. The Monoblock hinges include no welding in the front frame so they can survive a lifetime of opening and closing. Strength and high resistance are a common theme throughout. The lenses, formed through an advanced chemical hardening process, can withstand the Drop Ball test – a 5/8 inch steel ball dropped onto the lens from a height of 50 inches. From the frames to the lenses, the Carbon Fibre’s can hold up to all the drops, squashes and wear you’ll put them through.
